Introduction

The World Congress on Engineering & Technology 2012 (WCET2012) shall be organized in Almaty, Kazakstan with the theme “Promoting Sustainable Development - Role of Engineers, Scientists and Technologists” by the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NEARK) with the support of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MESRK), Federation of Engineering Institutions of Islamic Countries (FEIIC), the Malaysian Society for Engineering & Technology (MySET), and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with the support of Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE). The World Congress shall be held on 1-3 June 2012 in the presence of delegates from FEIIC member countries and other congress speakers and delegates from all over the world.

TThe WCET2012 shall provide an excellent opportunity for the scientific and engineering community to meet and exchange information and ideas pertaining to recent advances and progress in engineering and technology. In addition to the Congress, there will be a series of FEIIC Standing Committee Meetings.

Objective

The main objective of the World Congress is to provide a gathering and global networking of engineers, technologists and scientists in practice, research and education from all over the world to share their latest knowledge, experience and expertise in engineering and technology for the wellbeing of the ummah.
