Once a paper has been submitted it will be subjected to peer-review.<\/p><p>Each paper is reviewed by the Editors and, if judged suitable for this publication, is then sent to two referees for double blind peer review. Based on their recommendations, the Editors will then decide whether the paper should be accepted as it is, revised or rejected.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-advanced-tabs-content-54-111 bde-advanced-tabs-content\"><div tabindex=\"0\" role=\"tabpanel\" class=\"bde-tabs__panel js-panel\" id=\"\" aria-labelledby=\"\">\r\n  <div class=\"bde-tabs__panel-content\">\r\n    <div class=\"bde-rich-text-54-124 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<span style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>General Principles<\/strong><\/li><p>FEIIC-IJET uploads the values of:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Academic integrity and scientific accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Fair and unbiased editorial decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Respect for intellectual property and authorship.<\/li>\n<li>Transparency in conflict-of-interest disclosure.<\/li>\n<li>Zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Responsibilities of Editors<\/strong><\/li><p>Editors are responsible for:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal\u2019s scope.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding conflicts of interest; recusing themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict exists.<\/li>\n<li>Acting promptly on concerns of misconduct, ethical breaches, or disputed authorship.<\/li>\n<li>Adhering to COPE guidelines when handling retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Responsibilities of Reviewers<\/strong><\/li><p>Reviewers must:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Evaluate originality, methodology, clarity, contribution, and compliance with ethical standards.<\/li>\n<li>Provide objective, constructive, and respectful feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain confidentiality and avoid sharing or uploading manuscripts.<\/li>\n<li>Disclose conflict of interest and decline if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate submission, unethical research, or data manipulation to the editor.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from using unpublished data or ideas for personal advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Submit timely and thorough reviews in accordance with journal timelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Responsibilities of Authors<\/strong><\/li><p>Authors are expected to:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Submit original work that is not under consideration elsewhere.<\/li>\n<li>Appropriately cite all sources and avoid plagiarism in all forms.<\/li>\n<li>Disclose all funding sources, ethical approvals, and potential conflicts.<\/li>\n<li>Suggest up to two potential reviewers (with full affiliations) and may request exclusion of others with justification.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to reviewer feedback with detailed point-by-point responses.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all co-authors meet authorship criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Notify the journal immediately if a significant error is discovered after publication.<\/li>\n<li>Respond in a timely and respectful manner to editorial and reviewer feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Publication Malpractice<\/strong><\/li><p>FEIIC-IJET considers the following actions as malpractice and may lead to manuscript rejection, retraction, or reporting to the authors\u2019 institution:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism).<\/li>\n<li>Data fabrication or falsification.<\/li>\n<li>Undisclosed conflict of interest.<\/li>\n<li>Ghostwriting or honorary authorship.<\/li>\n<li>Redundant or duplicate publication.<\/li>\n<li>Submitting AI-generated content without disclosure or using AI to review confidential manuscripts.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Handling Misconduct<\/strong><\/li><p>When misconduct is alleged or discovered:\n<ul>\n \t<li>FEIIC-IJET will conduct a fair and confidential investigation.<\/li>\n<li>Authors and institutions will be given a chance to respond.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on the outcome, actions may include manuscript withdrawal, publication of a retraction or correction, and reporting to institutions or funders.<\/li>\n<li>In severe or repeated cases, individuals may be barred from future submission or review.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Corrections and Retractions<\/strong><\/li><p>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Corrections will be issued if errors to not undermine the validity of the work but require clarification.<\/li>\n<li>Retractions will be issued for serious misconduct or when results are proven invalid.<\/li>\n<li>All corrections and retractions will follow COPE guidelines and be clearly indicated in the journal.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Appeals and Complaints<\/strong><\/li><p>Authors and reviewers may appeal decisions or file complaints regarding editorial behaviour, review fairness, or ethical violations. All submitted manuscripts are screened by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Associate Editors to ensure alignment with the journal\u2019s scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet minimum requirements may be rejected without external review.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Editors with any conflict of interest in a manuscript\u2019s authorship or content with recuse themselves from the review process.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"bde-rich-text-54-127 bde-rich-text breakdance-rich-text-styles\">\n<span style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Peer Review Models<\/strong><\/li><p>FEIIC-IJET offers the following peer review models:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Double-blind review (default): Both authors and reviewers are anonymized.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\nThe model applied will be clearly indicated to authors and reviewers at the time of submission or invitation.<\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Peer Review Selection<\/strong><\/li><p>Peer reviewers are chosen based on:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Subject expertise and relevance to the manuscript<\/li>\n<li>Reputation and past performance as a reviewer (if and when available)<\/li>\n<li>Timeliness, quality, and constructive nature of previous reviews<\/li>\n<li>Absence of any conflict of interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\nSpeed, depth of critique, and collegiality are highly valued. At least one reviewer per manuscript must be independent from the list suggested by the author. Suggested reviewers from authors must be supported with verifiable details, including institutional email addresses and ORCID or Scopus ID. Suggestions must not include recent collaborators or individuals from the same institution. Editors retain final discretion in all reviewer selections.<\/li><\/p>\n<p>\n<li><strong>Peer Review Workflow<\/strong><\/li><p>The peer review process follows these key stages:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Initial screening: Editor assesses submission for scope plagiarism, formatting, and ethical compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewer selection: At least two independent reviewers with subject expertise are invited. Diversity and conflict-fee relationships are prioritised.<\/li>\n<li>Review assignment: Reviewers will receive anonymised or identified manuscripts based on chosen review model.<\/li>\n<li>Review period: Reviewers are expected to submit reports within 3-4 weeks. Extension may be granted upon request.<\/li>\n<li>Editorial decision: Based on reviewers\u2019 evaluations, the editor recommends one of the following:\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Accept<\/li>\n<li>Minor revision<\/li>\n<li>Major revision<\/li>\n<li>Reject<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/li>\n<li>Revision and re-review: Revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of review.<\/li>\n<li>Final decision and notification: Editor-in-Chief issues final decision.
